Tradian Type Standard

Because a Tradian is a specific type of Part Bred Traditional Cob (a Traditional Cob x Friesian), a Tradian is not a breed; it is a type. The Tradian, therefore, does not have a breed standard; it has a type standard.

TYPE STANDARD

APPEARANCE: A Tradian is visually (in appearance) 50% Traditional Cob (Irish Cob and/or Gypsy Cob) and 50% Friesian.

HEIGHT: A Tradian is at least 15hh.

COLOUR: A Tradian is black and white (piebald). A 50/50 black and white markings ratio is optimal.

STRUCTURE: A Traditian has an athletic structure with straight legs, a good overall conformation, and a proud stance.

MOVEMENT: A Tradian should have ‘step’ or elevated action.
