Pedigree Verification

TCR records both verified pedigree and unverified pedigree.

Verified Pedigree

A verified TCR pedigree is a pedigree that has been verified by one of the following pedigree verification certificates:

• Covering Certificate
  issued by TCR or another registry
• ​Registration/Pedigree Certificate
  Issued by another registry
• Parentage Test Report/Certificate
  issued by a DNA laboratory

Unverified Pedigree

An unverified TCR pedigree is an uncertified pedigree.

TCR referred to an uncertified pedigree as a verbal  pedigree:

• Verbal Pedigree
  No pedigree verification certificate

NOTE: TCR verbal pedigree honours the age-old tradition whereby pedigrees and lineages were passed down verbally from generation to generation.
