TCR online registration profiles

The TCR online registration service modernises traditional equine studbook registration by updating paper registration documents to online registration profiles. However, TCR paper registration documents—including TCR Passport Overstamp Labels, TCR Registration Certificates, TCR Registration Books, and TCR Ownership Certificates—can also be ordered for animals that have (or are getting) TCR online registration profiles.

Benefits of TCR online registration profiles

• Worldwide

​If the animal named on a TCR registration application is outside the EU and UK, a TCR online registration profile is sufficient for that animal. However, the TCR registration application also includes an option to order a TCR Registration Certificate and/or TCR Registration Book for the animal.

​If the animal named on a TCR registration application is in the EU or UK, then because the animal is legally required to have an EU or UK equine identification document (aka an EU freemovement passport), in addition to the option provided on the TCR registration application to order a TCR Registration Certificate and/or TCR Registration Book for the animal, an option will also be provided on the TCR registration application to order a TCR Passport Overstamp Label which can be affixed on the non-legal ‘Other Registrationsʼ page of the animal's EU or UK equine identification document.

​TCR offers the most affordable registration service available, while also providing a next-generation, international registration hub (based in Ireland) for all Traditional Cobs—including Irish Cobs, Traditional Gypsy Cobs, Gypsy Cobs, Mini Gypsy Cobs, Stepping Cobs, Drum Horses, and Part Breds. ​​​

• ​​​Online Ownership Transferring

If the TCR-recorded owner of a TCR-registered animal sells or gifts the animal, the TCR-recorded owner can use any device to instantly transfer the animal online FOR FREE from their TCR account to the new owner's TCR account. If the new owner does not have a TCR account, then they will need to ‘sign up’ for one.​
